Hi Everyone!
Charline here.
Well, I took 2023 off to get some hip and knee surgery taken care of and although I have not as yet had that done, I have been enjoying my time off so much I have decided to retire. Yes...retire from teaching Real Estate Prelicensing Classes, Continuing Education, and the CORE.
I could not disappear from view without telling you how much I will miss all of you who have shared in my life as a Real Estate Educator. My kids always tell me that you all are my second family. If I was not with them I was with one or some of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to those who have entrusted me throughout the last 35+ years with not only your own real estate education, but with that of your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends, and relatives as evidenced through your abundance of referrals.
It has been wonderful and I am so thankful to have been invited into so many offices and boards over the years to teach continuing educaton courses. Also I need to give a warm shout out to the Seacoast Board which was so welcoming and gracious as I made that my home base location for Prelicensing Courses and Continuing Education Courses from 2008 or so until Covid. The staff was so helpful and kind over the years and Denise and Barbara were awesome.
Over these many years it has been a privilege to have served on committees, task forces, and study groups whose sole purpose was to help make this real estate profession one in which the public can have confidence. I will miss the lengthy discussions and conversations with fellow colleagues and veteran instructors like Kathy Roosa, John Doran and Bill Arnott who like myself have been in the real estate business for what seems like forever, and who have acquired and possess a vast amount of knowledge in their mental archives about the real estate industry, its laws, rules, and processes, along with its history in the State of NH. It is truly impressive. Some of our discussions have been very lively and energetic, some very somber and serious. Agreeing and disagreeing but always ending with a decision to best address the one goal/concern in mind...the regulation of the licensee for the protection of the consumer.
I could not go without giving a shout out to the past NHREC support staff who (although no longer with that department) were in charge until the changeover around 2015. They were truly a hard working, knowledgeable group of individuals who created a team dedicated to helping the consumer, the licensees and instructors every single day. It sure was nice to give a call and say " Hi Beth", "Hi Fran or "Hi Laurel", get a quick question answered or confirmed and move on with our day. Outstanding.
I wish I could reach out to each one of you individually to say "Thank You" and let you know what an honor and a pleasure it has been to meet, get to know and be able to interact in class with each and every one of you. Some of you I have actually never met but I feel like I know you as we have been chatting over the internet/phone when ordering correspondence courses every 2 years! I feel like, through our conversations, I have gotten to know many of you as though we had actually been in class together.
There have been so many special moments throughout the years and so many special people and I am happly overwhelmed to tears with these awesome memories.
Take care, be well and I hope our paths cross in the future.
